Burglar falls asleep after breaking into car in New Jersey
It's always better to commit a crime after a good night's sleep. Just ask the 22-year-old man who was arrested in New Jersey last week after he fell asleep while attempting to steal items from a car.
According to Hackettstown Police, cops responded shortly after 6 a.m. on Friday to a report of man snoozing in a vehicle that wasn't his.
The Hackettstown Police Department posted about their Sleeping Beauty on Facebook and identified the suspect as Kyle Sallie.
Police determined that Sallie, who is from Mount Olive Township, entered the vehicle to steal items that were in the car. Sallie had already removed the contents of the glove box when he decided that was the optimal time to take a catnap.
Police said Sallie was also wanted by the Morris County Sheriff's Office for burglary. The sleepy burglar was charged with criminal trespass and burglary and taken to the Warren County Correctional Facility.
