Check out first trailer for new Bill Wyman documentary, The Quiet One
The film features Wyman reflecting on his many adventures with The Stones, whom he played with from 1962 to 1993, and showcases the massive collection of archival material he's compiled related to the band, including photos, home movies, diaries and memorabilia.
The Quiet One also features new interviews with Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts, The Supremes' Mary Wilson, ex-Stones manager Andrew Loog Oldham, Bob Geldof and more.
The trailer offers a montage of photos and film clips, along with voice-over comments from Wyman, Watts, Clapton and others.
"It was a special band," Bill is heard saying about The Stones. "We could blow anyone off the stage...We were just so different."
The promo also includes audio of Watts discussing Wyman's penchant for documenting the band.
"First guy to have a computer," the drummer points out. "He had cameras before everybody. Certainly he had video before everyone."
In addition, Wyman comments, "Thirty-one years with The Rolling Stones…I took reels of film."
After being shown at a number of film festivals earlier this year, The Quiet One will get its U.S. theatrical premiere on Friday, June 21, in New York, Los Angeles, Boston and San Francisco. The doc then will be available on video-on-demand outlets starting June 28.
