Donut Robber Calls an Uber
A Long Island man is facing charges for accusations he robbed a Dunkin Donuts and then used an Uber as a getaway car. Andrew Sandson allegedly walked into a Brentwood Dunkin Donuts shop Sunday with a note demanding cash saying he had a gun. He never showed a gun but fled with cash into a car. A customer gave police a license plate tracked to an Uber that had dropped Sandson off at his Brentwood home, where he was arrested. The Uber driver was not involved in the robbery or charged.
