Gimme the cash or it's death by guacamole!

Avocado is so good for so many things, guacamole, avocado toast and of course, robbing banks!

The Times of Israel reports on the case of an unidentified 47-year-old man from the southern Israeli city of Beersheba who last month robbed two banks of the equivalent of $8,300 USD by using... you guessed it, an avocado.

The man, said to be an ex-convict, reportedly handed bank tellers a note demanding cash.  He then held up a dark object in his hand, which he claimed was a hand grenade, and threatened to detonate it if he didn't get the cash.

The 'grenade' turned out to be an avocado, painted black.

Police were able to use security camera footage and mobile phone records to track down and arrest the suspect.
