2015 - Florida Georgia Line won Favorite Country Duo/Group and Favorite Country Album at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles.

2010 - A week after their catalog was made available digitally on iTunes, The Beatles sold more than 450,000 albums and two million individual songs.

2010 - A copy of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Double Fantasy album which had been signed by the former Beatles member for Mark David Chapman hours before Chapman murdered Lennon was sold for $850,000.

2009 - Taylor Swift won five trophies, including Artist of the Year, at the American Music Awards.

2008 - Tim McGraw sang a verse of "Real Good Man" as part of his opening monologue as he guest hosted NBC's Saturday Night Live.

2003 - Wynonna married her second husband D.R. Roach in Leiper's Fork, Tennessee. They are now divorced.

2001 - Billy Ray Cyrus appeared in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.

2001 - Jazz impresario Norman Granz died of cancer at age 83.

2000 - Ted Gardner, former manager of Tool, sued the band alleging breach of contract and fraud.

1997 - INXS lead singer Michael Hutchence was found hanged in his suite at the Ritz Carlton in Sydney, Australia. He was 37.

1997 - Swell Maps founder Epick Soundtracks was found dead in London. He was 37.

1994 - Pearl Jam's Vitalogy was released.  The band's third studio album was first released on vinyl, and became the first vinyl album release to chart since the rise of CDs.

1986 - The number one song was Human by Human League.

1985 - George Strait's Greatest Hits was certified gold.

1982 - The British rock band Japan announced they were breaking up.

1980 - Kenny Rogers earned a number one hit with "Lady."

1975 - KC and the Sunshine Band hit #1 with "That's the Way (I Like It)."

1973 - George Jones and Tammy Wynette sang "We're Gonna Hold On" in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

1971 - Isaac Hayes had the number one song with Theme From Shaft. It was the third number one single to also win the Academy Award for best song.

1965 - Bob Dylan secretly married Sarah Lowndes.  They divorced in 1977.  They had a son, musician Jakob Dylan

1964 - The number one song was Leader Of The Pack by The Shangri-Las.
