Survey says 38% of beer-drinking Americans avoiding Corona beer over the Coronavirus
Fears of the COVID-19 coronavirus have caused travel nightmares, dropped stocks, and, apparently, a drop in the drinking of Corona beer.
All those Google searches for "corona beer virus" be damned: for the record, Corona beer did not cause the virus.
That rather obvious fact didn't stop 16% of more than 730 people who participated in a new phone studyfrom believing exactly that, according to a poll taken by 5W Public Relations.
What's more, 38% of beer-drinking Americans would not buy Corona "under any circumstances now," and even among brand loyal customers, 14% say they wouldn't order one in public.
Just 4% of the Corona drinkers polled say they were ditching the brand altogether.
One more time: the coronoavirus is a virus. The Coronoa beer, is a beer. If you're still confused, only one of them comes in bottles and cans.
