Teenager Blames Speeding Ticket on Hot Wings
Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Manitoba, Canada, posted a brief message on their Twitter recently about a young man they pulled over for speeding.
The message accompanies a photo of the speed gun in the Mountie's ca, showing a readout of 170 KPH. That's about 106 MPH.
"This 16-year-old’s excuse for going 170 km/h in a Camaro?" the message asks. “Too many hot wings & needed a bathroom.”
If you've ever eaten way too much hot or spicy food -- well, you get the idea.
While clearly finding the incident humorous -- they did post it to Twitter, after all -- the Mounties clearly had no sympathy for the teenage speeder.
"Fined $966 for speeding + $203 for driving w/o a supervising driver," the message goes on, ending with, "Absolutely #noexcuses for that kind of speed." That's about $803 USD, by the way. Ouch.
Next time, maybe stick with the mild wings. And wait until you've actually got your license.
