Woman receives probation after pulling gator out of pants during traffic stop
Yes, that was a gator in her pants. And no, authorities were not happy to see it.
This all began when 22-year-old Michael Clemons ran a stop sign last May. Florida prosecutors say Clemons and his passenger, 25-year-old Ariel Machan-Le Quire, told the sheriff's deputy who pulled them over that they were out collecting frogs and snakes.
Then Clemons gave the Charlotte County deputy permission to search bags in the trunk.
The deputy found 41 turtles in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles backpack. He then asked if they had anything else. That's when Machan-Le Quire pulled a foot-long gator out of her yoga pants.
Machan-Le Quire plead guilty to four charges and was sentenced to probation last week. The case against Clemons case is still pending.
