Woman tries nude sunbathing at public beach, pays $50,000 bond
A woman is free on a whopping $50,000 bond after sunbathing in the buff at a popular Connecticut beach.
Anna Lee Halderman, 28, caused a scene at Compo Beach in Westport when she decided to remove her top and work on her tan. A woman, who had a kid in tow, quickly confronted Halderman and told her to cover up.
It didn't go well.
Lt. Anthony Prezioso, speaking to WestportNow, said, “Upon speaking with this individual and attempting to convey her concerns, the woman allegedly became belligerent and proceeded to remove the bottom portion of her bathing suit, exposing her buttocks.”
Police arrived shortly after.
The woman who lodged the complaint claims that Halderman appeared to be intoxicated and that her child saw the entire thing.
Halderman has since apologized for her actions and claims she doesn't even remember the incident. She was arrested and is due back in court this Friday, August 23.
